Who am I:
To start with, my name is Kate Valleroy, I am RED ANVIL. And I am a artist in the Saint Louis Area. I grew up in Saint Charles, Missouri. I am married to a wonderful person and we have a home, two awesome kids, and a great life. I am almost always amused.

True Story:

I am a 30-something who's just trying to figure out what's going on, more and more I feel like I have some idea.

I am an artist:

I refuse to be inhibited by any medium. I want to do it all. I strive to make beautiful unique and well made things.

I work at and I play at:

I work at making a career out of a creative and inspired life. I don’t want to give up my life to work so that I can play. I want to make work play and love life and work HARD. I play in the world. But I a can most often be found working/playing at my studio in Richmond Heights, MO

RED ANVIL creates one of a kind pieces of jewelry and wearable art from the unusual ,recycled and vintage materials, buttons, felt, beads, semiprecious stones, plastic toys and handmade sterling silver findings. Each unique piece is made by Kate in her Richmond Heights studio.
